30-day right of return from the day you receive your item.
Money back no later than 14 days after you notify us.
24-month right to complain about faults and defects.
30-day right of return
As a consumer, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal. At Gate2Buy we extend this, so you have 30 days to return your item, counted from the day you receive it. The whole period applies on the same terms as the statutory right of withdrawal. If your order arrives in several shipments, the period runs from receipt of the last item.
How to return an item
- Let us know within 30 days by emailing ra@gate2buy.com with your order number. You can also use the withdrawal form in our terms and conditions.
- Pack the item securely, preferably in its original packaging, and put your order number in the parcel.
- Send the item back no later than 14 days after notifying us. We will send you the return address once we have received your message.
Simply refusing to accept the parcel is not enough – you must always notify us.
Return shipping
You pay the cost of return shipping unless otherwise agreed. We recommend a tracked service, as you are responsible for the item until we receive it.
Condition of the item
You may examine the item as you would in a physical shop – for example, unpack it and look at it. If it has been used beyond that, installed or damaged, we may deduct an amount corresponding to the reduction in its value.
Refunds
We refund the purchase price, including the original delivery costs (up to the cost of our cheapest standard delivery), no later than 14 days after receiving your notice. We may withhold the refund until we have received the item or you have provided proof that it has been sent. The refund is made using the same payment method you used for the purchase.
Exceptions
The right of return does not apply to items made to your specifications or clearly personalised.
Faults, defects and transit damage
If an item is faulty or damaged on arrival, this is not a regular return. You have a 24-month right to complain about defects, and for justified complaints we cover reasonable return shipping costs. Please contact us with your order number, a description of the problem and, ideally, photos before sending anything back. Read more in our delivery policy.
